Kennedy Space Center
We reached theNASA parkway bridge by sunset and left ICW and dropped anchor at the base of the bridge.
Great holding, not to much current and plenty of swinging room.
In the morning we took the dinghy in to the Baithouse bar and caught an Uber to Kennedy Space Center. We spent a whole day at this remarkable museum (and actual center for all space program). You can take a bus through the whole base and be let off at different places of interest. Many of the world famous spacecrafts are kept in original in the museum and lot’s of well made films are shown presenting different parts of the whole “NASA space saga”.
Particularly interesting is of course the first moon landing as well as the Apollo 13 saviour which was really a show of teamwork to get the crew of three back to earth.
Todays program with the name Artemis is highly active planning to launch a permanent base on the moon to learn for future expeditions to March.
Elon Musk as well as Jeff Bezos are also highly active partly cooperating with NASA.
When we returned to Dora Mac in the evening we learned to know from BBC world news that the rocket of Jeff Bezos space program had exploded at Kennedy space center the same day. A huge light was seen all over the city (we saw nothing) but fortunately no one was injured.
It will probably delay the Artemis program significantly.
