Already day after landfall in Öckerö Dora Mac was hauled out and a professional survey was performed after the impact with Norwegian granite.
No associated injuries were found so focus was to repair the "wound" from impact on the bow.
After grinding, several layers of marine filler, ground paint and several layers of Awlgrip Forrest green there were no more signs to be seen from the impact.
Öckerö Shipyard is a very serious and well working yard among others serving the fleet of the Swedish Amphibious Corps and as far as I can see they did a very good job.
Doing survey on Dora Mac after haulout staff from the yard were very impressed by the build of Dora Mac . Pictures and the story behind the collision have been sent to Bill Kimly of the Seahorse Marine, the American builder of Diesel Ducks.
