"Gå på tur" means walk (or ski) in the mountains. This is what loads of Norwegians do. They are probably one of the most outdoor people on earth and there are a lot of hikingtrails in the mountains of Lofoten.
Making landfall in the fishing community of Nusfjord , just south of the port is the mountain Tönsåsheia,with a popular hikingtrail where you can very well spend a weekend. It rises 769m over the sea.
Nusfjord in early autumn is very different with almost all tourists gone.
