Departure from San Antoni was delayed due to a horrendous thunderstorm with winds gusting 45kts and a torrential rain worse than heavy squalls in the South Pacific.
I´m currently about halfway and circumstances good. To starboard the mountains of the Spanish mainland is seen in the haze(Cabo de la Nao south of Denia).
I have set up the radarwarning system with one guardzone for radarechoes and one zone for AIS targets. At the pilotstation there´s a watch alarm waking you up every 10minutes.
This will mimic sleep deprivation used by intelligence services all over the world as a method of torture. It was used recently also by the Swedish police when interrogating a female medical doctor accused of eutanasia/murder of a braindamaged child(she was completely innocent ) !!
I´m not particularly looking forward to a night with sleep deprivation....
