The crossing took 20 days and 14hours (leg 1+leg 2) and we travelled some 2950 Nm. We needed to spend 2 weeks on the Cape Verde islands repairing a leaking pumpmotor on the primary autopilot as well as waiting for a good weatherwindow. Day 4 at sea on leg 2 of the crossing we had a major drama but the rest of the crossing was uneventful and we never had winds exceeding 30kts or waves exceeding 3mtrs. Very few things broke. All in all an enjoyable crossing where in the middle of it all both Mercedes and me were thinking we could go on for ever.
