Once pressurewashed though it was obvious that Dora Mac needed an antifoul again and this time International Primicon primer was used that adhered very well to the hull.As an antifoul the yard suggested the one they had on the shelf, International Micron 99,an ablative cupperbased paint with the latest copolymer tecnhnology, good rewievs, but VERY expensive. The alternative to order another paint (obviously not VC offshore) to be delivered from the mainland was not an alternative due to waitingtime.
Dora Mac´s bottom is now covered with the latest copolymer technology and my wallet is thinner. It´s supposed to last 2 years but I beleive it when I have seen it.
Within a couple of years Dora Mac will need a sandblasting.
