Leaving Gravdal in the evening we came out to 28kts of headwinds and a slow progress through Vestfjorden. Plowing slowly through headseas was hard on the crew so we decided to head north through Raftsundet and in this way come into leeward of Lofoten from the sourheasterly winds. Once leaving Lofoten, coming in to Vesterålen, circumstances were much better.
Passing through a mountaineous lanscape in full wintercostume is breathtakingly beautiful and exotic.
Around midnight we passed Tromsö and now have only some hours before making landfall on Skjervöy. Skjervöy is a busy fishingport and place for Dora Mac is not for granted. We are in contact with the harbour captain who can hopefully help us out.
Onboard is oldest son Felix with girlfriend Ellen.
Youngest son Gabriel will join us on Skjervöy coming in with Hurtigrutten from Tromsö.
