It´s working well but has more than 3.000hrs on it and the spare was refurbished already in Sweden for 300Euros 2018.

The first time I tried to replace it for the refurbished one it was impossible to detach the pipes on the pumpmotor. Next time in Rhodes I was helped by a mechanic in his workshop and he managed to detach 2 of 3 pipes and we then built 2 new pipes that didn`t fit properly (took to much space). The third time was in Malta early this year where I had all pipes replaced for three new ones fitting perfect and when all was installed the refurbished pumpmotor didn´t work,it was just dead.

I had it out again and brought it to an electric motorshop in Valetta, and they found a well refurbished pump but with the wrong collectors installed, explaining why the motor didn´t work.

Now I did the whole procedure a fourth time and this time it all worked well. Important is to adjust the timing from hard starboard over to hard port on the rudder. It should be between 11-14seconds and if to short the autopilot will work well being very stable on course but on behalf of hard work and being prematurely worn out. With to long period the autopilot will be to unstable. Adjustment is done directly on the pumpmotor according to the manual.

An alternative is of course a brand new pumpmotor as replacement which is about 900Euros with transport to Europe.
