Thanks to the newly invented art of printing more than 30.000 books were sold (more than ever in history).

The book is describing how to identify and punish wichcraft and led to a 200 year long narrative in Europe that was based on a complete lie. The narrative led to 60.000 women being executed all over Europe mainly by burning and allthough well educated and wise people understood it was all a lie protests were scarce.

When I was a PhD student my professor (Georg Klein ) was a Jewish medical doctor from Hungary. He escaped from the nazi trains transporting Hungarian jews to the gaschambers in Aushwitz. When trying to convince his Jewish compatriots what was waiting they got angry and even threatened to beat him for coming up with "such stupid lies".

Georg Klein became a world renowned Swedish cancer researcher, appreciated intellectual and writer. In one of his books he describes the event on the train when his compatriots refuse to accept the truth that led to him to escape the nazi soldiers alone. The conclusion is that we humans don´t want to hear the truth if it´s uncomfortable.

Today digitalization is super-hype. Tech giants have long used linguistic tricks as part of their massive lobby like " more efficient, save time, 24hr service, pay with a click, just a few clicks away, flexible work at home, smart cities, smart homes and even smart clothes".

It looks like many of us today more and more are becoming "happy digital surveilled collectivists " (Netizens") and the backsides of digitalization are rarely discussed making our modern world partly a lie. If so why is there no resistance ?

Is the writer of Brave New World, Aldous Huxley, right  ? Are humans best controlled by inflicting pleasure (smart phones, fast food, experience industry) instead of inflicting pain ? 

Late pope Francis warned humanity for AI and algorithm controlled life. If that´s where we are heading it will have the biggest impact on human freedom ever in history and it will be irreversible. A dehumanized society based on a lie
