Our first 2 days at sea have been good sailing with
15-20kts aft of the beam, but with quite disturbed seas(south west swell from
gales on the Southern Ocean).Today the wind decreased, and since lunchtime we are
motoring.Mårten made a very good dinner(Lambstew and an ambitious salad),and
while having dinner an exhausted bird landed on our bimini. After cleaning her
feathers and some rest she disappeared out in the darkness. The highlight of the
day was John´s catch of a Blue Finned Tuna. The fileés have been fried and put in
the refrigerator for tomorrow.
For the moment Mårten and John are sleeping and the
moon is lit on a flat calm ocean.Tomorrow evening we will have reached
Aneytioum, the southernmost island in Vanuatu, and depending on tomorrows
Gribfiles we might call in there for a day,or proceed to Lifou in the Loyalty
Islands.
