After two weeks in quarantine working on Dora Mac she´s more or less ready for a new season.
Ordinary preparation protocol has been followed (change of all filters, impellers, cleaning out/inside,rustpaint,testing all major systems and upcoming repairs).
Last important job yesterday was to finish installation of consumed anodes on the hull as well as to the bowthruster.
Sounds easy but diving in a semi dry wetsuit in winterconditions (my drysuit requires an assistant to close the back) and do installation work diving/ freezing with 6mm thick diving gloves was more demanding than anticipated. Nevertheless all anodes are now in place and Dora Mac basically ready for a new season. A new canvas cover for the mainsail is also being produced since the old one blew into pieces in a storm.
As mentioned all cruisingplans with randoneeskiing Senja in April and Lyngenalps in May have been cancelled. Having a meeting today on the hospital going through all regulations concerning the coronasituation I will go into service tomorrow. My duty will mainly be dealing with emergency surgery (all elective surgery postponed) being on call the majority of April and depending on the situation, also parts of May.
