We departed San Vito after lunchtime and when coming out in open sea north of San Vito peninsula we met very disturbed seas . With both headseas and seas on the beam with quite a rolling I got seasick. Mercedes managed well but I needed to sit outside for a while watching the horizon until we launched the paravanes and circumstances onboard improved. For many hours we had a strong countercurrent doing less than 5kts over ground but once reaching further out on the Tyrrenian Sea we reached normal speed of 6,7kts and flattening seas.
