I was here 2016 and have forgotten how beautiful this city is to approach from the sea. It´s impressive walls from the times of the knights and crusaders border the sea and the port bustles with activity.

We got permission from port control on VHF CH 12 to enter port, found a calm spot to retreive the paravanes, and made landfall in Msida Marina in Ta`Xbiex were Dora Mac is wintering.

After mooring procedure we went to the Black Pearl for a beer happy and releived to have managed this passage that must have cost some aging in me due to stressystem alert.

I contacted MRCC in Malta as well as MRCC in Gotheburgh Sweden (who had been informed of "Swedish motortrawler in distress in international waters 200Nm east of Malta ") to inform them that we were safe in port.

We will have slightly more than a week here now to settle things for winter and arrange a haulout of Dora Mac.
