Problems as expected
When we left Dora Mac in June I wrote on the blog that we would encounter different problems with the boat upon return.
That statement was based on experience and this time was no exception.
When starting up all domestic live aboard systems we first noticed that the fresh water pump was regularly engaged. That´s a sure sign of leak somewhere in the domestic fresh water system. The leak was found to be in the connection to the freshwater outlet on deck and took us a day to fix mainly because of problems to find parts to fix the problem (rental car some days when fixing the boat is mandatory).
The fridge had light in it but the compressor was dead and faultsearch revealed a broken inline fuse socket. After replacement the fridge was up working.
One day later the fresh water pump started again indicating leak and this time the leak was in the domestic piping in the master cabin toilet. To bend a spare pipe and fit back in was demanding and took half a day in bad working positions.
