Providence (or provo as all initiated people say) is a place for tourists with thick wallets.

With loads of hotels along the beaches and all the usual tourist industry present prices are sometimes insane.

We visited a very nice conch shell restaurant though and did a nice snorkel tour around Smith’s reef where Mercedes saw loads of her favourite sea creature-sea turtles.

Cruising Turks&Caicos with it’s magnificent diving has been a pleasure but that means visiting the more rural areas where you can anchor and be independent.

We had to go to Providence for spare parts but otherwise there`s no reason to go here. You can deal with customs/immigration in Sapodilla Bay.
