Normally I do the dogwatch (midnight to 04.00) but this time Mercedes took the dogwatch and the whole night we had calm seas,doing almost 7kts over ground and passing ocer a Tyrrenian Sea illuminated by a fullmoon.

Once approaching Capo Carbonara , slightly before lunch day 2 at sea, weather deteriorated with increasing headwinds of 35kts and steep headseas slowing us down significantly.

Increasing to 1800rpm for a hard working John Deere, we managed to stay on 3,5-4kts all way up the large bay of Cagliari constantly taking spray over us.
