Heading out in the archipelago for the last trip of the year was a combination of testing Dora Mac in freezing conditions and meeting up with old friends having dinner together in Sandhamn,our "Mecka for sailors".
It´s a 160Nm trip back and forth and not wanting to be underway in darkness I needed to find anchorplace for the night. Knowing there were strong winds coming I anchored in Rånö hamn which is a completely enclosed and well protected harbour. Having up to 40knots of winds in the night I lost anchorgrip in the night and had to reanchor which is not that easy singlehanded and in complete darkness.
