Mercedes spent almost two weeks in Palma (without being particularly excited) whereas for me it became only a couple of days due to a surgeryassignment in Scotland.
After lunch we departed Palma in good weather heading for Soller on the westcoast, but after only a couple of hours we heard an alarming mechanical sound from the propeller.
Getting snorkelgear on I found ropes from fishinggear entangled around the propellershaft which I managed to cut away with the emergencyknife. That was the third time during this autumncruise from Galicia into the Mediterranean that we had to dive on the propeller out at sea.
Heading further up along the westcoast of Mallorca to Soller (the only fully sheltered port on Mallorca`s westcoast) we encountered strong fallwinds from the mountains gusting up to 35kts slowing us down which lead to landfall in darkness.
Being infested by loads of small moorings dropping anchor in the bay of Soller during darkness demands patience and a strong handheld searchlight.
Once with good holding we fell asleep excited to wake up in the bay of this charmy village and start the day with a bath.
