A beautiful shell but a content without soul

Allthough not in high season yet,the village was full of tourists. We spent the day walking the village to the top and no doubt it´s a very charmy village with narrow streets and charmy houses but it´s crowded with shops selling souvenirs and walking the streets means you float with the flow of all other tourists making the place feel less genuine.
In the evening we returned for an Aperol in one of the iconic hotels but the prices and the service made me feel this place has been infested by the experinential industry. It still has a drop dead beautiful shell but it lost it´s soul.
