Originally the plan for this summer was to follow the Norwegian coastline in slow pace down to the Vestland around Bergen and cross over to the Shetland Islands (200Nm).
Weather permitting then also continue over the Faeroes to Iceland for wintering (200+400Nm).
Due to covidregulations both in Norway and the U.K as well as VAT issues with Dora Mac in Norway plans had to be changed. As mentioned before on the blog I singlehanded Dora Mac from Lofoten to Gothenburgh.  Due to the massive spread of deltavariant in the U.K borderregulations were in force all summer.
Subsequently we had to adapt and improvise meaning change of plans. After some great weeks along the Swedish westcoast mixed with work we decided to cross Skagerack and the eastern part of the North Sea back to Norway(leaving Norwegian territory with your boat you are entitled to revert for another year without VAT issues). As seen on the bad picture of Dora Mac´s waypoints we first crossed over Kattegatt to Skagen on the northernmost tip of Denmark-a natural stopover both heading east or west over the North Sea.
