I needed to go to Lofoten for work 2 weeks(an awfully long trip by ferry,long taxidrive and 4 different airplanes) and Mercedes remained on Dora Mac in Carloforte.

She spent the time deep cleaning Dora Mac and one day with galewinds a German boat came drifting on to Dora Mac.The boat was sailed by a nice German/Irish couple who when coming into port suddenly lost the propulsion.

Coming into port loosing propulsion when landing in galewinds is always stressful and the first suspicion was a failing gearbox. When I returned from Norway we all had a drink together and Mercedes and me promised to dive the next day to see if there was anything wrong with the propeller (Volvo Saildrive).
