It´s becoming complicated

One day was spent chasing propane followed by adapter.

When I sailed from Sweden to New Zealand 2008-2012 propane was filled in stations providing propane or butane. Adapters needed for filling was provided by filling the station.

This was the case in most countries but today you hardly find filling stations anymore. In the name of safety in most countries we have visited empty propane bottles are exchanged for filled ones. 

Since bottles and connections look different in every country you need to buy new bottles as well as adapters. We have 5 adapters on Dora Mac today (two on the bottles not on the pic) that never fitted new bottles. In Aruba we had to buy adapter nr 6. This is not only tedious and expensive. "Old" bottles of no use must be thrown away which is a great waste
