Needing to be back in Rhodes town to pick up two refurbished seawtarepumps (to have as spares for John Deere and Northern Lights genset) we followed the eastern shoreöine of Rhodes and made landfall in famous Lindos.
Just south of the chora of Lindos there´s an completely enclosed bay- St Pauls Bay. This is a gem but only room for 3-4 boats and shorelines needed.
We came in settled weather so the narrow passage presented no problem and the walk up to the chora was only 15-20mins.
Still with a lot of tourists we continued up to the Akropolis of Lindos from around 400B.C devoted to Athena. As usual there was a church inside from Byzantine times and a castle built in the 14th century from the crusafers (ordern of St John).
Rhodes surrendered to the Ottomans 1522 who made some modifications of the castle.
