Slightly before 8 o´clock we approached Skjervöy from the east. Allthough with no visible sun, some light from the sunrise illuminated the mountains in the west.
Once in the port basin we contacted the harbour captain who advised us to moor alongside an offshore industry workingship.
Coming into the village we met some French/Norwegian marinebiologists working on a PhD project with the killerwhales. Their knowledge and advise on how to encounter the whales was much appreciated.
Felix on foredeck preparing for landfall.
