We left Formentera with the ambition to check on the wreck of Don Pedro just outside of Ibiza city.
She hit one of the the Dado rocks just outside port 2007 and now rests on 25-42mtrs depth.
Considered to be a world class wreck dive we headed there to investigate if she would be reasonably easy to access. With settled weather our plan was to anchor in leeward of Dado rocks and take the dinghy to the wreck hoping for a marker bouy to moore the dinghy on.
We found the wreck with our fishfinder but there was no bouy for the dinghy, and there was far to much traffic in the area.
Subsequently we had to give in and with easterly winds forecasted we headed for protection along the west coast of Ibiza and Cala Tarida
