We wanted to have a taste of Ibiza nightlife and with continues winds from the east the bay of San Antonio (or San Antoni in Catalan) on the westcoast was our choice.
San Antonio has a reputation of being a place for nightclubs (allthough we would have preferred Ibiza City) but marinas and moorings in the inner bay were all full as were all popular "calas" in the area. We eventually found place to drop anchor in Punta den Ribes about 15mins dinghy ride from the port of San Antonio and allthough quite an ugly surrounding we had enough space and anchor on sand with good holding.
There´s a dinghy dock in the very center of the port but the last part is to shallow for outboards and rowing necessary. We had dinner in a recommended nice restaurant  and went out to smell some of the nightlife which for us was a bit of a disappointment. There are many nightclubs but to crowded,to many drunk tourists,to much.
Waking up the day after we were surprised by a thunderstorm approaching and needed to weigh anchor and head for Calo Des Moro in the north part of this huge bay for protection. Once dropping anchor we needed to let almost 70mtrs of chain out to get good holding and several boats were dragging.
An Italian sailingboat windward of Dora Mac lost anchor grip and was first drifting towards Dora Mac and later towards our neighbour. With no one onboard we called the coastguard who came to assist. From neighbour boats we learned to know that no one had been seen onboard for three days allthough the dinghy was there and coastguard promised to look in to it.
We prepared for departure to Spanish mainland and Cartagena (135Nm) and with the local thunderstorm disappearing the forecast looked promising for departure after sunset.
