Now in the second wave of the pandemia Norway has declared state of emergency.Allthough the border to Sweden never opened ,passage now has become even more complicated.
As medical staff you need ID and documents saying you are essential for the Norwegian society relieving you from the duty of 10 days quarantine in a quarantine hotel. Moreover you need a pcr-test not older than 72hrs proving you are free from covid-19 virus and that´s the tricky part.
Public care in Sweden cannot manage pcr-tests for travellers and even if they would you might not have the answer within the critical 72hrs. As allways some of us are fast to adapt and make money from new demanding situations. Subsequently the only way to have a pcr-test withing the time limit is to engage a private provider of these services.
Price-300 Euros !
The need is there and wether this kind of business is ethical or not could be debated....
Passing the border this time of the year means full winter needing a car eqiupped for driving on winterroads. I will be back in Lofoten late December but then travelling by air.
