July 21 we made landfall in Sandnessjöen which is the main city of the Helgelandcoast. New crew arrived and with best possible weathercircumstances we headed north along the Helgelandcoast heading for Melfiord. Melfiord is described as on of the most beautiful fiords in Norway by our British cruisingguide and due to it´s location very few people visit this fiord.
On the way the skyline of the Helgelandcoast is marked by the Seven Sisters, a mountainchain with seven tops in a row (some of them not seen on the picture). As seen on the lower picture, mountains in Norway are often partly covered by a slice of cloud. It´s called skyhätte in Norwegian which would be "skyhat" giving them an extra beautiful appearance.
