In light winds we prepaired the spinacre which is contained in a sock and has it´s own halyard. It´s a big sail but all working well. Once hoisted the winds dropped and there was no wind to fill the sail. No doubt though, it has it´s place in calm conditions on an ocean crossing in trade winds.
In the evening we took out our emergency tiller (never tested before) and to our dismay we found it didn´t fit on the the rudder shaft. The opening in the tiller was made to small once fabricated by the shipyard. We will have to leave it to a mechanical workshop to fix it.
