Digging deeper into the option of applying for a B1/B2 visa in Bahamas we found a waiting time of 126 days for non islanders and an almost total denial rate closing that option down.

Once the answer from CBP arrived it was as expected a totally insignificant answer normally used by bureaucrats who wants to take no responsability.

The decision was clear. We will head south along the Windward Islands and cross the Caribbean Sea over to the Dutch Antilles. For Mercedes this was partly a welcome change of plans since she has spent only short time sailing the Caribbean. For me it will be the 4th time sailing along the Windward Islands. Moreover I don´t do well in heat.
