Allthough with waves reaching 3 meters on the beam, the periods were long and Dora Mac with paravanes behaved very well in this North Atlantic swell.

All in all our first days were a pleasure and the night shifts illuminated by a full moon. Mercedes had all food prepared prior to departure so cooking meant heating up food in the microwave.

Our cruising speed was from 5,8kts to 6,7 indicating variable currents as expected. E.t.a was 22.30 after three days at sea (74hrspassage) meaning landfall in Porto Santo in darkness.
