The fishermen in the village spent the days searching pods of fish in the bay. Once targeting a pod they cooperated to surround the fish with a net carried by several boats and then hauling the net with catch in between the boats. The volume of voices during the hunt was alltime high and once on land with the catch you could see the fishermen walking home with fish to the dinnertable.
The ecological impact of this kind of fishing must be almost zero compared to modern "fishing trawler factories" vacuuming the oceans of today.
