Some provoking thoughts on Ibiza

I can`t resist writing some provoking thoughts on cruising Ibiza. Open Marine Traffic and there´s a constant traffic circulating the island more or less 24/7 in high season.
All "calas" are crowded and the marina/mooringindustry have waitinglists allthough very expensive. If you find place to anchor you risk being chased away by "posidonia police" since neither anchor nor chain can touch posidonia (very difficult to achieve when swinging on an anchor).
Ibiza is also very expensive and we understood from the taxidrivers we met that native people from the island find it more and more difficult to afford living on their own island, mainly since rich foreigners trigger prices not least on real estate. People working in the tourist industry have low salaries and can seldom afford to rent an apartment but live in tents on campingplaces . Strangely enough Spain has a leftwing government but like the rest of leftwings in the west they focus on genderissues and other symbolpolitics , a no brainer for the vast majority of the people. This political selfdestruction I think is one major reason for the growth of the extreme right movement all over the western world.
