In the meantime we headed to Cala Porto Pino 25Nm south of Carloforte. This is a nice bay where you can anchor close to the fishing port and take the dinghy up along the river to Porto Pino village.
The ride with the dinghy up along the river is enjoyable and the village well worth a visit.
Waking up in the morning from heavy seaway we were surprised by 40kts of wind from the south and the bay not fully protected. Not predicted by our ordinary sources (Windy, Predictwind and Windfinder) we found the Italian forecast correct with a reasonably local area of galewinds.
Weighing anchor we needed to launch the paravanes and headed out to sea heading north again for Carloforte and an arriving sparepart.
Once reaching leeward of Carloforte circumstances improved and we could go into port and were met by a ribboat from Marine Sifredi delivering our much wanted converter.
With heavy seaway still out in open sea we scheduled departure for Menorca to after midnight and dropped anchor in a well protected bay just south of Carloforte.
