We finally managed to depart after lunch September 11.
Once out at sea circumstances were good allthough a lowpressure with galewinds was expected from the east within a couple of days.
During the first motorcheck I found saltwater in the bilge. Faultsearch revealed a leaking raw water pump on John Deere forcing us to seek shelter for the night and replace the pump for a refurbished spare early morning.
We dropped anchor in Ensenada de la Fuente where we spent a calm night and at sunrise the pump was replaced and anchor up being under way early morning.
From the latest forecast we understood we were not going to reach Gibraltar or Malaga before the gale and instead changed heading for Almerimar expecting to make landfall early morning next day just before galewinds approaching.
