We had a great trip south back to Lofoten. Only downside was wrong timing in Rystraumen south of Tromsö where we had more than 6kts of tidal countercurrent. For an hour we made only 1knot over ground before finally passing the most narrow part.
Making landfall in Ballstad slightly after midnight all crew left after a good nights sleep. For me remains only hard work conserving Dora Mac for winter and allthough completely protected from the sea Ballstad can be exposed to high winds from northwest . The surrounding mountains can create a "tunneleffect" with very strong winds as a result. Mooring has to be arranged accordingly with canvas,sails and dinghy stoored in a protected place.
