In Galicia the people eat almost everything from the sea.
On the contrary to the superrationalised fishing industry in many modern countries the fishermen in Galicia still bring in their catch directly to the market.
Going to the fishingmarket here you will find much of the catch still alive as a sign of real fresh seafood.
I thought Brittany was the "King of seafood" in Europe but Galicia seems to surpass.
Sister Anna spends lot of time snorkeling for "Necoras" (Velvet crabs) which is considered a delicacy in Galicia and nephew Oscar spends lot of time fishing, among others for calamares.
Mercedes is raised with and love seafood. I like it too but that is not to say I like it all. In Galicia one of the most expensive seafood delicasies is Percèbes (goose barnacles). I have tried but failed to like it.
