The problem has been several systems breakdown needing advanced repairs,replacements and/or spareparts from the mainland.

On top of that is all regular/annual services/repairs needed as canvasrepairs,rustpainting,polishing,change of waterfilters on domestic as well as watermakersystem (mech and coalfilters),change of oilpolishfilters,fuelpolishfilters,fuelfilters,change of impellers(J.D impeller had 750hrs on it with cracks in 2 blades),replace autopilot pumpmotor,grease prop shaft,jackshaft,ruddershaft, and many more minor things.

A challenge is also to order spareparts both to keep a stock as well as needed at the actual moment(the world is not the same as five years ago in that perspective).

Dora Mac is now almost ready for a new season. We are still waiting for new batterycells arriving Sardinia March 9 but will crusie loacally in the meantime surviving with Balmar alternator under way, genset at anchor,and shorepower in marinas.

Arriving February 10 to Santa Maria de Navarrese we have spent more than three weeks working intensively on Dora Mac.

Now it´s time for payback.
