Randonee skiing or "topptur" (tour to the top) is very popular in Norway and circumstances outstanding. Subsequently you see a lot of Norwegians climbing the tops on skis also now in corona times.
Plenty of books with maps describing the climb is out there and I have one onboard borrowed from a rando enthusiastic friend(thank you Anders).
Doing it the Norwegian way you pack your car, drive to your place of choice and climb the top on skis with climbingskins. On the top (weather permitting) you take a selfie, something to eat and some hot beverage from your thermos(the selfie culture is actually behind some casualties here in Norway trying to take as spectacular selfies as possible..) Having nothing but a bicycle(electric) I choose to pack the bike and drive 15km to the mountain called Skolpan.
Four hours steep uphill was a challenge for an inexperienced Swedish rando skier and the statement from the guide"Skolpan is an easy tour" didn´t make it better. One hour downhill though was great. Reasonably good snowconditions and very exciting to ski between the trees. It really did give taste for more but you need to be well trained
