After a lovely week in remote and tranquile Amorgos we headed for it´s opposite-Mykonos.
Mykonos and Ibiza are Europes (and perhpas the worlds) most famous partyislands and allthough this is not us, we to have our own opinion.
We started with it´s archeologically famous neighbour to the west though-Delos. On the southcoast of the islandcomplex called Rinea (Delos is the eastern part) there are some great bays well protected from the Meltemi. We dug ourselfes into the northeast part of Ormos Proteus which is a lovely bay in itself with crystal clear water and sand with good holding.
In the morning though ,the whole pleasure fleet arrives equipped with all possible machines for pleasure on water. Many of these boats come for a couple of hours loaded with people, high music,drinking/party and watersports.
Just before sunset the whole pleasurefleet disappears and only 4-5 boats are left in what is again a lovely bay.
The main reason for anchoring here though was it´s proximity to Delos well reachable by a 20mins dinghyride.
