When you hear the freshwaterpump repeataedly starting itself you know there`s a leak somehwere in the domestic freshwatersystem. On a boat like Dora Mac there are plenty of places to choose from.
Now in all stress organising the infrastructure around DM prior to departure for work in Lofoten that`s exactly what happened.
After search of source for the leak I found the T-connection for cold water to the galley leaking. Dismounting everything possible in the galley, the T-connection and it`s piping was eventually reachable. Taking it apart I found the piping itself leaking due to material failure.
Having 16mm alupex piping spares I managed to cut and bend a replacement but needing a straight connection I only found a spare T-connection. A rudimentary repair with rubber and clams withstood the pressure for 12hrs before leaking heavily again.
