When we came to Vlieland September 2007 there was only a small harbour
here allthough well protected.Since then a big marina has been built
including all commercial machinery surrounding a marina of
today(shops,restaurants,coinmachinery for all essentials etc).Huge boats
come in here and crews are dressed in todays "sailorsuniform"(Musto seems
to be on top)all looking more or less the same.Afternoon is spent in an
"aftersailsbar".Starting in the U.K the "marinaplague" has spread all over
Europe and also back home in Sweden more and more marinas are
commercialised and prices subsequntly tripled.
