Gomera is one of the favourites for sailors in the Canaries. Not only is it still off the beaten track but also further west which means more humidity and more vegetation. With current circumstances we opted for the south coast and the bay of Laguna de Santiago. Gossip says Laguna de Santiago is the favourite place for the former German chancellor, Angela Merkel . Wether true or not,Gomera is a place with the majority of tourists being German.

Laguna de Santiago is beautiful viewed from the sea but allthough spending two nights at anchor here we never managed to land the beach due to heavy swell.

I needed to replace an anod at the propeller of the bowthruster (they are consumed like candies) and came up with no hearing on one ear. Probably water in a wax plug which means more to fix once back in Las Palmas
