A couple of hours after our landfall a French sailboat made it to the marina assisted by all of us in vicinity.

Mercedes prepared a snack and a drink and we all had a great evening together.

They were all from Marseille and spent half year cruising before having to revert home for work.

When I was young I lived in an apartment in Stockholm for 10 years and hardly knew my neighbours. In the cruising society things are much less anonymous and the threshold for helping each other or having a sundowner together is very low. In that way cruising life is opposite to many dehumanizing trends of today.
