Coming in to the northern bay of Paros this Sunday we found this part of Paros to be a gem. Initially we dropped anchor in the southwest part of the bay but in the evening the wind picked up to gale force and we lost anchorgrip (again?!....). Subsequently we had to relocate and Dora Mac is currently berthed alongside in the small marina (Náousa Marina). The marina is very charmy with some charter sailboats but mainly small fishingboats. It´s reasonably well protected for all but strong northerly winds in which case you have to reanchor in the northwest part of the bay. Unfortunately there´s a conflict between the private management of the marina and the commune which is the reason for water and electricity being switched off.
The little city of Náousa is very charmy with loads of inviting tavernas and cafeterias scattered among narrow streets. For the moment there are very few tourists but loads of Greek families being on easter holidays.
Björn left today as planned and I will remain here (weather permitting) until Bertha and my mother arrive next week. As usual there are plenty of things to deal with onboard most notably a small leak from the exhaust elbow.
