We entered the Chesapeake channel area at about 3am, we had to stay our of the channel to allow ship movement but had a lovely sail up the bay and didn't run out of wind until daylight, we also didnt see any crab pot floats until the approach to Fishing bay. We were very happy to see that we knew half the boats 🤣, 2Outragous, Eloiuse and White Bird were all anchored and Ilanda was on the dock. Good old Innamorata the 742 mile trip had taken 4 days and 2 hours making an average speed of 7,7knots 👏🤩
After anchoring we relaxed, had showers and then put the outboard back on the dinghy to go and visit people, but the wind had picked up from the SE and there was quite a bit of chop so we opted to veg out and watch a film.
Looking at the forecast the wind was due to pickup and go more southerly so there would be a long fetch and it might be a bouncy uncomfortable night so we followed 2 Outragous the 2 miles over to the Godfrey bay to the south for a peaceful night.
