We really should have left an hour or 2 earlier, we motored north with some areas of favourable current and some of counter current - once we got to the straights we did get a nice 3 knots current with us for part of the passage until we hit a line of turbulence near the north end when we slowed down!

We got through as the sunset and anchored a couple of miles along the coast.
