After a lovely peaceful night we woke as forecast to a grey morning, the wind was good though so we decided to head off just about as it started to rain 😬, we were glad we had our enclosure up still and apart from getting the anchor up stayed dry, the wind dropped off and in the end we had a decent sail to Siracusa, where we anchored near the spot we were in when we visited in October. It was like a Monastir reunion with 4 other Monastir boats already in the anchorage - Barefoot, Sancerre - British -  Zoe Martyn and dog Rolf, Caffe Latte - French Canadians - Jean and Yolene and Ancosa 3- Jurgen and Brigitte!
We spent some time with Tracey and Gui (and their dog Halo) - wandering around, sitting at cafes having coffee or beers and of course to Steves dismay visiting the supermarket! We also went and socialised with Zoe and Matyn when they were moored on the town quay and visited Ancosa 3 to have coffee with Jurgen and Brigitte.
All in all we had a nice few days there but were wondering if we had made the right choice to come this way when we are trying to head west - the forecast looks useless us getting nearer our destination 😬. When we saw the opportunity to get up the coast as far as Naxos so decided to leave on the spur of the moment  without saying proper goodbyes to anyone!
