23:47.092N 076:07.928W Again we are heading to a hiding hole from the weather, we decided to head back to in-between Leaf Cay and Normans Pond cay and so headed off, when we arrived there was a boat in our spot 😟, so we anchored more in the cut and therefore in more current than when we were here before. We soon realised the boat was Gaia with Fiona and Theo on who we had met briefly in Georgetown, they have lived in Maine for the last 20 odd years but are originally from UK and Holland, we were very happy to see them and soon were invited over to see them. Their boat has an 8ft Draft so is deeper than Innamorata which is why they chose that spot! We spent a few days anchored here and were protected from the west wind again but, span around like crazy when the wind went north west and wind opposed the current, we could hear the anchor chain grating along the hull at certain points 😩 which is always a rather distressing sound and one we had to try and ignore as there was nothing we could do about it. we were pretty amazed that our anchor held up and didn't move. We saw Theo and Fiona a couple of times before we left, sadly they are heading north but hopefully our paths will cross again somewhere. ![]() Innamorata with Gaia behind her. ![]() |
