34:42.87N 76:39.88W it was a short trip to Beaufort, our early start to ensure we got to the bridge at low water meant that the tide was low when we got to the shoaling area in the channel leading to the town anchorage so we anchored for a while to wait for a little more water before heading in and anchoring off the town. We saw dolphins on route as well as a couple swimming around the anchorage where we arrived. there are quite a few boats here and as the tide runs strongly through the anchorage every boat moves differently and they all turn at different times with the changing tidal flow and get a little close to each other. The weather looks like the winds might be a bit stronger than previously predicted so we will wait and see on Wednesday or Thursday what it's looking like before making the decision to head south or wait here a bit longer.
